Ready to rock

Yes, after a relaxing week at home to catch up on rest for my body and voice, time with my doggies and husband, and a great time seeing/hearing Roger Waters in concert in Amsterdam, I am ready to go back out onto the road this week with the most challenging half of the tour.

We are hitting the road on Thursday starting in Wermselkirchen, and have 15 concerts in 17 days, including shows in Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Czech Republic. Wish me luck as I will need alot of support in hopes my voice will last the 6 days in a row concert runs.

I feel inspired seeing Roger Waters concert and knowing there are still artists out there who are not afraid to be a little political and to challenge us and make us think. Whether we agree with everything he says/believes or not is not the point, the point is to be challenged by art as well as entertained. And I even had a great moment on the weekend when I was chilling with my husband in Eindhoven, Netherlands and heard someone say "Layla, Layla Zoe?" When I looked over I smiled and started walking over to say hello assuming it was a dutch fan who had recognised me on the street. Turned out it was actually a Swiss fan who was on holidays in the Netherlands and just happened to be crossing the street at the same moment as I was! What are the chances?Synchronicity was ours! And it turned out I knew him by name, which he was quite impressed by, but really I was impressed to meet him that morning in person because he is one of the many fans who has been incredibly supportive over the years and bought alot of merch and supported the crowdfunding. So ofcourse I remembered his name and was grateful to be able to give him a big hug and say thank you in person. See you soon out there on the road, looking forward to sing for you all! x Layla
